Kirin Holdings Company
Advising Japanese food and beverage giant Kirin Holdings Company, Limited on its A$1.8 billion acquisition of Australian healthcare company Blackmores.
MMA Offshore
Advising leading marine and subsea services company MMA Offshore on its acquisition by Cyan Renewables by way of scheme of arrangement for A$1.1 billion. The deal is reportedly the largest takeover deal in the wind power segment in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024.
Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corp
Advising the Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation on the establishment of a renewable energy project partnership in Western Australia with ACEN Corp worth more than A$1 billion.
Chrysos Corporation
Acting for high tech minerals analysis company, Chrysos Corporation, in the largest initial public offering in Australia for 2022. Chrysos listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in an IPO that raised A$183.5 million, with Thomson Geer advising on all Australian legal aspects of the listing.
Rohde & Schwarz Australia
Advising integrated communications solutions provider Rohde & Schwarz Australia on the awarding of a major contract to supply the integrated communications systems for Australia’s new Hunter class frigates being built in South Australia by BAE Systems Maritime Australia.
Genesis Resources
Advising gold miner Genesis Minerals on its acquisition of the Gwalia gold mine in Western Australia from fellow miner St Barbara for A$628 million and on a A$470 million capital raising by Genesis to fund the acquisition.
ACCIONA
Advising ACCIONA which, in a 50-50 joint venture, has been engaged by Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to deliver the Inland Rail Southern Civil Works Program.
Gamuda Australia
Advising Gamuda Australia on its successful bid with consortium partner Laing O’Rourke for a A$2.16 billion contract to deliver a major tunnels and civils package for the Sydney Metro West project. Thomson Geer advised and supported Gamuda Australia on all of the contract documentation issued by Sydney Metro for the Project.
Tasmea Ltd
Advising Australian mining and infrastructure services company Tasmea Limited on its successful initial public offering and capital raising giving it an indicative market capitalisation of approximately A$360 million.
Freight Management Holdings
Advising the shareholders of Freight Management Holdings (the owners of leading 4PL service provider efm Logistics) in the several transactions involving Singapore Post. Through these four transactions, in each of the years 2020 through 2023, Singapore Post has acquired 100% of Freight Management Holdings for a total of around A$500 million. Our team advised the FMH shareholders through every step of each transaction.
MACA Ltd
Thomson Geer advised Perth-based ASX-listed mining and infrastructure services company MACA Ltd on the approx. A$350 million takeover bid announced by Thiess.
DHL Supply Chain
Acting for DHL Supply Chain, part of Germany-based the Deutsche Post Group, in its acquisition of Australian logistics group, The Glen Cameron Group. The strategic combination strengthened DHL’s position in the evolving Australian road freight market and created one of the largest logistics companies in the country with combined revenue of over A$1 billion.
Child care centres
Acting for a child care centre incubator client on the sale of a portfolio of childcare centres which formed the cornerstone operating sites to Nido Education Limited's contemporaneous $99.2 million capital raise and listing on the Australian Securities Exchange.
Estia Health
Acting for Australian aged care provider Estia Health on a deal to acquire a portfolio of aged care homes and development sites worth more than A$100 million from Premier Health Care.
City of Sydney
Advising the City of Sydney on all aspects of a tender for new street furniture and on street advertising – which is one of Australia’s most valuable outdoor advertising contracts.
