Thomson Geer assists Brooks Australia in acquisition by Ei Electronics

Thomson Geer has assisted Australian fire and detection products distributor Brooks Australia in its acquisition by Irish company Ei Electronics.
Brooks Australia is the Australian distributor of fire and detection equipment produced by Ei Electronics.
The Thomson Geer team was led by Partner Jason Marcus, who said: “Brooks is a family business that was established in 1977. The sale is an important step for the Brooks family and the ongoing future of the company.”
As part of the acquisition, Ei plans to maintain and grow the Brooks brand in Australia.
Thomson Geer assisted Brooks Australia with all aspects of the transaction, including vendor due diligence, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents and the completion process.
Brooks Australia employs 26 people at its Sydney headquarters, with another nine interstate sales and support roles.
