Thomson Geer has been recognised by international legal directory Best Lawyers in its 2024 edition with the firm named a "Law Firm of the Year", received 13 "Lawyer of the Year" listings and 85 lawyers listed for their legal expertise.

The Australian Financial Review reported on the listings, noting for Lawyer of the Year: "KWM has the most listings with 33. Other firms with more than 10 lawyers of the year are Ashurst (19), HSF (16), Clayton Utz (13), MinterEllison (13), and Thomson Geer (13)."
Thomson Geer was named Law Firm of the Year for its expertise in Retirement Villages and Senior Living Law.
