Thomson Geer’s latest Aged Care Insight Report will soon be available to subscribers of our aged care legislation service.

The report will examine the most recent legal and regulation changes governing both residential aged care and home care in Australia.

The latest report covers the reforms and practical recommendations for providers across the following areas:

  • SIRS in home care;
  • the Code of Conduct and banning orders;
  • new approved provider governance responsibilities including changes to the key personnel requirements;
  • restrictive practices and substitute decision making;
  • the introduction of the star rating system;
  • the commencement of the voluntary assisted dying legislation in Queensland; and
  • changes to home care charges and fees.
