Aged Care Act 2024 Thomson Geer compliance tools

Thank you to all of you who joined us for our webinar series last year as we unpacked the Aged Care Act 2024. We are now focussed on getting ready for the 1 July 2025 commencement.

Thomson Geer has a range of resources to assist providers to implement the new Act:

1. The Thomson Geer Aged Care Act 2024 Transition Tool is now available for aged care providers to purchase.
   This comprehensive tool provides a detailed analysis of all key compliance tasks under the 2024 Act. It also enables you to assign tasks to relevant teams and track your progress.
   We have already released the Tool to numerous providers and received feedback that it is an invaluable resource to assist with the transition to the new Act.

   We are also developing a suite of template agreements, policies and procedures to meet the requirements of the 2024 Act and a list of the education and training programs we recommend providers consider with implementation of the 2024 Act. 3.  For resident and respite agreements, our online system Simply Legal is the best way to ensure compliance.
   Simply Legal is Thomson Geer's online system that enables providers to generate, save and edit resident agreements (permanent and short term) using Thomson Geer's templates that we update for all regulatory changes, including the 2024 Act. Simply Legal automatically calculates accommodation payments and pre-populates fees at the rates set by government.
