Thomson Geer has advised Resolute Mining Limited (Resolute) on the successfully completed sale of its Bibiani Gold Mine located in Ghana, to Canadian company, Asante Gold Corporation (Asante) for USD $90m.
Based in Western Australia, Resolute has more than 30 years’ experience as a gold mining explorer, developer and operator of gold mines in Africa. The Company trades on the Australian Securities Exchange and the London Stock Exchange. Resolute currently operates the Syama Gold Mine in Mali and the Mako Gold Mine in Senegal.
Asante is a gold exploration and development company, publicly listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
The sale of the Bibiani Gold Mine is consistent with Resolute’s strategic focus on its core operating assets. The sale reinforces Resolute’s commitment to deliver sustainable and enduring value to shareholders and to the communities in which the Company operates.
