Thomson Geer has advised global software solutions provider Ideagen Pty Ltd on its acquisition of Australian software company OnePlace Solutions.
The newly acquired company will be called Ideagen OnePlace Solutions and is a Microsoft Gold Partner providing cloud-based software and services that enables organisations to better utilise their Microsoft 365 suite.
Thomson Geer advised Ideagen on all stages of the deal process.
The acquisition builds on Ideagen's presence in the Australian software solutions market, providing governance, risk and compliance support for sectors such as education and aged care, and further strengthens Ideagen's collaboration portfolio.
Ideagen Chief Executive Officer Ben Dorks said in a statement: "In highly regulated industries, the need for auditable information management becomes even more crucial. What James and the team at OnePlace Solutions have created is a trusted suite of solutions that provide a simplified and consistent way for people to engage with business systems built on Microsoft 365. We know these will bring significant value to existing Ideagen customers and new prospects as we use our global footprint to help extend its reach."
The acquisition of OnePlace Solutions is the second acquisition for Ideagen this year.
Ideagen was advised by Eversheds Sutherland in the United Kingdom and Thomson Geer in Australia. The Thomson Geer team was led by Partner Eugene Fung, who congratulated Ideagen on its latest acquisition as it expands its global footprint and management software capability.
"We were pleased to work with Ideagen in this deal which builds on Ideagen's presence in Australia and enhances their collaboration capabilities worldwide," said Eugene.
Eugene was supported by Partner Mark Branagan and Special Counsel Melanie Mitchell, Associate Sarah Beattie, Lawyer Alexandra Smith and Graduate Lawyer Michael Chong.
