Emerging Australian copper explorer Fetch Metals Limited has completed the acquisition of Queensland Mining Corporation Pty Ltd (QMC) after acquiring the final 41.4 per cent of the company it did not already own for A$20.8 million with assistance from Thomson Geer.
Fetch acquired the first tranche of QMC in 2022 for A$28.6 million.
Fetch is exploring the Mt Isa/Cloncurry region of north-west Queensland for copper, a metal critical for renewable energy technologies. The region includes mining leases and operations run by large resources companies such as Glencore, South32 and MMG.
The Thomson Geer team was led by Partner Matthew Reynolds, who said: "Congratulations to Fetch on taking full ownership of QMC and its highly prospective copper tenements.
"We're pleased to be assisting Fetch to become a significant resources company focused on copper, a metal essential to the world's efforts to decarbonise and embrace renewable energy."
Matthew was supported by Associate Nellie Clark-Boyce.
Thomson Geer is also advising on investments by investment group Australian Silicon Valley in Fetch to enable the acquisition of QMC and for working capital.
