Matt specialises in unregulated M&A and strategic investment transactions for private equity sponsors, financial investors and corporate clients. He has extensive experience advising on structuring and due diligence, acquisitions and divestments and shareholding and management equity arrangements, alongside a wide range of general corporate and portfolio company matters.

He has acted for a number of leading domestic and international private equity firms on management buy-out and follow on transactions, management shareholding terms and fund formation and governance advice, as well as advising boards, founders and existing shareholder groups on new capital and buy and sell-side transactions across a range of industries.

Matt is also experienced in drafting and negotiating significant commercial contracts, including supply and distribution agreements, joint venture agreements, service agreements and consultancy agreements for clients in the transport, mining services, pharmaceutical and childcare industries.
