Stephen is an experienced commercial property lawyer with experience both in private practice and as a Senior Legal Counsel in-house in an ASX 200 listed company.

Stephen works collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders providing practical legal outcomes, both in structuring transactions and in delivery. He is fully engaged and accountable for his work, with an eye for detail and assessing risk, providing well-crafted advice and documents to his clients.

His focus is on commercial property acquisitions and disposals, property development and commercial / industrial / retail leasing.

Stephen is an accredited specialist in property law, has been actively involved in New South Wales Law Society property law committee for many years, is joint editor of the Australian Property Law Bulletin and authored specialist property law publications.

Advising on sale and purchase of shopping centres such Stockland Hervey Bay, Stockland Bay Village, Stockland Point Cook and Stockland Harrisdale.

Retail agreements

Negotiating Stockland retail portfolio agreements for lease with Coles, Woolworths, David Jones, Zara, H & M and maintaining Stockland's standard lease agreements for retail, office and industrial assets.

Wind farm leases

Drafting and negotiating wind farm leases.

Office building sale

Advising on the sale of 109 Pitt Street, Sydney, sold as part of the redevelopment for the new metro station in George Street.

Rail interface

Advising on a rail interface management agreement with Australia's largest logistics provider, QUBE, for Stockland Yennora, one of the Southern Hemisphere's largest distribution centres.
