Antonia is a Special Counsel specialising in property law.  She has broad property sector experience and has acted extensively in property developments including commercial, retail and agricultural developments, renewable energy projects and multi-storey off-the-plan mixed use apartment developments, acting for a range of local, overseas and government clients.  

In addition to property developments, Antonia regularly advises on property acquisitions and disposals, land divisions, community and strata titling, property due diligence and retail, commercial and industrial leasing.  She has extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and completing a broad range of property transactions.

Having acted for property developers, purchasers, vendors, government agencies, financiers, leading corporates, landlords and tenants, Antonia has a strong understanding of the property industry and provides strategic advice to clients in a timely manner to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.

Successfully negotiating the Agreement for Lease and Lease for Technicolour’s Australian base of operations in Terrace Towers on top of the Myer Centre Adelaide. Assisting the landlord in achieving its commercial goals and internal KPIs through effective ‘horse trading’ and issue management.

Acting for major Australian Banks and lenders on the property aspects of secured recoveries including advising on power of sale, disclosure requirements, Foreign Resident Capital Gains Withholding and GST implications.

Advising State Government agencies on the disposal and acquisition of land for residential developments including the preparation of development agreements, land sale contracts, encumbrances and associated agreements for social housing and affordable housing projects.

Residential apartment developments

Acting extensively on various residential apartment developments, particularly in the City of Adelaide and Bowden. These matters involved advising on site acquisition, stamp duty implications, off the plan residential apartment sale contracts, community titling, financing and settlement.
