Thomson Geer advises Octopus Deploy on A$221m investment from US venture capital firm, Insight Partners

Thomson Geer has advised Brisbane-based technology company, Octopus Deploy on the second biggest ever venture capital investment in an Australian tech company.

Octopus Deploy has secured a A$221m investment from New York-based, Insight Partners, a leading global venture capital and private equity firm specialising in investing in software ScaleUps and high-growth technology.

Established in 2011 by Brisbane couple Paul and Sonia Stovell, Octopus Deploy automates complex software deployments and since its inception has experienced consistent organic growth and profitability, now employing more than 100 people.

Over 25,000 organisations use Octopus Deploy, including 35 Fortune 100 companies and enterprise organisations such as Disney, NASA, ASOS, Xero and Microsoft.

The investment from Insight Partners, will facilitate Octopus Deploy’s growth plans by up scaling their sales and go-to-market enterprise.
